Jean-Marc Heynderickx began his career in the Louis Delhaize family business after a year’s training in various parts of the United States, first as a department manager, then as a supermarket manager, before becoming director of a group subsidiary in 1986.

In 1990, on the death of his father, he took over the responsibility of managing director of the group jointly with his cousin.

After 20 years co-directing the group, and having played a more active role in the expansion of the various banners in Hungary and Romania, Jean-Marc left the family group to set up his own Family Office, the main aim of which is to develop a portfolio of property assets and support young, growing companies.

Charles Heynderickx, the youngest member of the family, studied both in England and Belgium.

After several years working in estate agencies, as a broker he decided to launch his own start-up in the field of art and photography.

With a degree in finance from ICHEC, he decided to train in governance and investment.

Together with his sister, Charles manages the entire Belgian property portfolio, as well as some of the group’s holdings.

Stéphanie graduated from the Académie des Beaux-Arts with a master’s degree in interior architecture, and went on to work for various firms including Blow architectes, Sandrine Devos, Xavier Dubois, Design Addict and LD2.

Thanks to 5 years’ experience with BPM (building project management), she specialises in renovating rental properties, office space and hotel projects.

The collaboration led to her first small-scale development projects, in which she took a keen interest.

Today she has joined the family full-time after completing evening classes in finance at Ichec with her brother.

Her aim is to successfully develop and expand the Belgian and Hungarian property portfolio.

Alain Hubert has been CFO of Nextgen since May 2023. He studied economics at Ghent University.

For 20 years he worked as an auditor, specialising in M&A and due diligence at EY. As CFO he gained 10 years’ experience in a listed group.

Having entered the property sector thirty years ago, Luc gained experience in office and retail property with Belgian institutional owners (KBC Real Estate and Redevco).

In 2017, he seized the opportunity to manage the day-to-day running and long-term development of Nextgen Investment Group’s property portfolio in close collaboration with the Heynderickx family.
